Natural Dyeing 101: Hands-On Beginner Workshop at the Farmstead
Join me at the farmstead for a hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop exploring the art of natural dyeing. We’ll use black walnuts gathered from the farmstead to create rich, earthy tones on natural fibers.
You’ll learn the basics of preparing yarn, making a dye bath, and achieving lasting color — then take home a skein or two of your own hand-dyed yarn. All materials are provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own natural fibers to experiment with.
Dress comfortably and wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy — this workshop is completely hands-on!
Limited to 10 participants; all materials and supplies provided.

Powell Pet Palooza
I’m thrilled to finally launch the mobile antique business I’ve been dreaming up for the past year! Join me at the Powell Pet Palooza for my soft launch. We’ll be set up inside the gym—while the van won’t be front and center, the antiques and aesthetic you’ve come to expect will be. If you’re in the area, mark your calendar and come say hi!
Thank A Farmer
I’ll be at the Thank a Farmer exhibit at the Tennessee Valley Fair this Sunday! Stop by between 1–3 PM to chat about swapping out processed foods for homemade alternatives, shopping local at farm markets, and making the most of what you find there.
I’m also excited to be connecting with the Knox County Farm Bureau Women’s Group, who are doing incredible work for agriculture here in East Tennessee. While I’ll be joining them more in the future, this weekend you’ll find me at the exhibit—and also competing in the fair’s culinary competition with cookies, pies, and muffins.
Come say hi if you’re at the fair!
