Food. Farming. Hospitality. Place.
Stories. Gatherings. Traditions.
Welcome—
I'm glad you're here.
We believe there's a slower, richer, more connected way to live—one rooted in food, farming, hospitality, and place.
Chicken Librarian reconnects people with that way of life through storytelling, educational workshops, and thoughtfully curated gatherings.
Here you'll find stories from remarkable farms, hands-on learning rooted in traditional skills, and opportunities to gather around the table, in the field, and on the farm.
Whether we're making cheese on a working dairy, sharing a harvest meal, or learning from the people preserving rural traditions, every gathering is designed to help you feel more connected, more capable, and inspired to keep exploring.

Covey Collective: A Women’s Field to Fork Gathering
October 22-24
Covey Collective is a three-day women’s retreat at Windy Hill Farm and Preserve created for women drawn to both the tradition of upland hunting and the hospitality that follows it.
Centered around sporting experiences, conservation, and the connection from field to fork, the weekend brings together time outdoors, seasonal dining, and meaningful conversation.
Through guided hunts, shared meals at Wilder, and fireside gatherings beneath the stars, guests will experience the connection between the sporting tradition, the field, and the table.
