Experience Curation

Immersive Farm-to-Table Experiences

At The Farmstead by Chicken Librarian, we create immersive, hands-on farm-to-table experiences that connect people to the land, the season, and the stories behind the ingredients. Each experience is rooted in our Southern Appalachian heritage and shaped by the rhythms, craft, and lessons of our time in the Catskills, curated to feel elevated, approachable, and deeply engaging.

Whether we are collaborating with a land-based business, designing a private experience for a small group, or producing an experience open to guests, every journey is crafted to immerse participants in the rhythms of seasonal living, local food, and culture, offering behind-the-scenes access and meaningful connection to the people and places that make it possible.

Examples of Experiences We Curate:

  • Visiting working farms and exploring seasonal ingredients firsthand

  • Hands-on culinary experiences like game-to-table or wine-and-cheese tastings

  • Seasonal harvest gatherings with local farmers and artisans

  • Multi-day or single-day immersive farm-to-table adventures

  • Experiences that highlight the culture, heritage, and craft of the region

How It Works:

  1. Concept Development: Together we define the vision, theme, or story for the experience.

  2. Immersive Experience Design & Facilitation: We guide participants through the full journey, connecting them to the land, ingredients, and seasonal practices.

  3. Participant Engagement: Experiences are inclusive and approachable, whether private, semi-private, or open to the public, creating meaningful moments of connection, learning, and enjoyment.

The Catskills Spring Table

A Women’s Farm, River & Wild Food Experience

Join us in the Catskills, centered around Livingston Manor and Roscoe, for a small, immersive gathering celebrating food, nature, and connection. This experience is intentionally limited to five participants, allowing us to move slowly, savor meals, and fully engage with the rhythms of the region.

What to Expect:

  • Explore the towns: wander artisanal shops, markets, and hidden corners of the Catskills.

  • Farm-to-table meals: enjoy standout restaurants and home-cooked feasts made with seasonal, local ingredients.

  • Fly fishing on the Beaverkill River: learn alongside local guides and savor a riverside springtime meal.

  • Hands-on preserving and fermentation: pickling early spring ingredients to take home a taste of the Catskills.

  • Slow mornings & quiet moments: enjoy coffee, pastries, and the calm of the river valley, with time to wander, read, or simply be.

This isn’t a structured retreat—it’s a hands-on, immersive experience built around connection, food, and the natural rhythms of the Catskills.
