Concierge Policies

Thank you for choosing Chicken Librarian Concierge. My goal is to make each interaction thoughtful, personal, and seamless while ensuring clear expectations for both client and concierge.

Memberships

Concierge memberships are billed monthly and are month-to-month with no long-term commitment.

Membership hours are intended for concierge services included within the selected membership. Unused hours do not roll over to the following month and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or other services.

Additional hours may be requested when available and are billed at the member's applicable hourly rate.

Scheduling & Availability

Concierge services are provided by appointment and are scheduled based on availability.

Essential members receive standard scheduling. Lifestyle members receive priority scheduling and expedited response for time-sensitive requests.

At this time, Chicken Librarian Concierge does not offer 24/7 or on-call service.

Cancellation

For scheduled as-needed concierge services:

24 hours or more before the scheduled service: No cancellation fee.

Less than 24 hours before the scheduled service: 50% of the scheduled minimum will be charged.

Same-day cancellation or no-show: The full scheduled minimum will be charged.

For membership clients, late cancellations may count toward the client's included monthly hours.

Travel

Travel up to 50 miles from the Chicken Librarian service area is included in local concierge pricing.

Travel beyond 50 miles is charged at $1 per mile.

Bespoke experiences and projects involving significant travel are quoted separately.

Purchases & Expenses

Purchases made on behalf of a client are separate from Chicken Librarian service fees.

Whenever practical, clients will provide a payment method for purchases. When Chicken Librarian makes a purchase on a client's behalf, the client is responsible for reimbursement of the purchase amount.

Third-party expenses related to experiences, travel, events, or other projects—including accommodations, meals, transportation, tickets, guides, and supplies—are separate from Chicken Librarian's service or planning fee.

Farm & Livestock Care

Farm and livestock care is separate from concierge membership hours and is priced according to the animals, frequency of visits, and care required.

Routine farm and livestock care begins at $75 per visit. More involved responsibilities or specialized care may require a custom quote.

Bespoke Experiences

Bespoke experiences are individually designed and quoted according to the scope and complexity of the project.

A deposit or full payment may be required to reserve an experience or begin planning, as outlined in the individual proposal.

Third-party expenses are separate from Chicken Librarian's experience-design fee.

Scope & Additional Work

If a request is likely to exceed the agreed scope or estimated time, Chicken Librarian will communicate with the client before proceeding whenever reasonably possible.

Some requests may require separate project pricing rather than being completed within a concierge membership.

Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances

In the event of severe weather, unsafe travel conditions, illness, or circumstances outside the control of either party, Chicken Librarian will work with the client to determine the best path forward, including rescheduling whenever possible.
